1855 - are created the Institute for Agricultural and Regional Schools of Agriculture Bemposta (Lisbon), Évora and Viseu. The Regional School of Agriculture was transferred from Viseu to Coimbra.
1862 - Gone are the School of Bemposta and created in its place the School of Sintra.
1864 - Published the first reform of agricultural education and created the Regional School of Agriculture of Sintra.

1991 - Establishment of the course of Bachelor of Engineering in Agriculture and Livestock. In the same year come into phasing courses Diploma in Agricultural Production and Animal Production (Order no. 889/91, August 29). 1996 - Bachelor of Technology in Agro-Food has been renamed to a Bachelor of Engineering in Agro-Food formalizing itself, simultaneously, changing the curriculum (Order no. º 290/96 of 24 July). It organized the first Open Day of the School of Agriculture. It is named the second director of the ESAC (Order no. 35/SEES/XIII/96 °).
1997 - San approved the statutes of the ESAC (Order published in the Gazette of the Republic Series II No. 96, April 24, 1997). Are elected and take office the first members of the Assembly of Representatives and the first Board. It changed the syllabus of the course of Bachelor of Engineering in Forestry Operations (Order no. 507/97, July 21. Establishment of the Bachelor of Environmental Engineering (Decree 490/97 of July 15.) Is amended Law of the Education (Law no. 115/97, September 19).
