The College of Economics and Administration (CEA) in Plovdiv, Bulgaria is one of the newest Higher Education Institutes in Bulgaria. It is founded by a Parliament Ordinance from 29th October 2003, promulgated in issue 97 of the official Bulgarian National Newspaper from 4th November 2003, based on the affirmative accreditation of the National Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation from 1 July 2010.

Currently over 2500 students study at CEA in six undergraduate programmes. As of today we already have 1300 college graduates with the academic degree of „vocational bachelor“.

Regardless of its short history the College progresses very dynamically and has already built a serious image while positioning itself as one of the most prestigious higher education institutes in Plovdiv and the region.
Accreditation and cooperation contacts

On 1st July 2010 The College of Economics and Administration in Plovdiv received a remarkably high rating and a renewed accreditation for a six-year period by the National Agency for Assessment and Accreditation.

Business Administration
“Business administration” is one of the most popular and attractive programs for students all over the world.

The “Business administration” program provides specialists with general knowledge in economics and management in all industries and activities of the national economy, in the public and private enterprises. Graduates acquire vocational bachelor degree diploma according to the Bulgarian Law of the higher education.

Finance
The “Finance” program provides specialists in all departments of the Bulgarian national finance system. The tuition includes general theoretical preparation in the field of money, finance, credits, insurance and specialized training which forms the professional direction of the graduates. Tourism Management
The “Tourism Management” program (Organization and management of Tourist Activities) aims at training specialists in the Bulgarian tourism industry, which has become one of the most prosperous business sectors in our country.

Marketing (advertising and PR)
One of the oldest definitions is that Marketing is researching the market having in mind the demand and supply of commodities and thus the marketing department in a company deals with the opportunity of selling the production. This statement is too outdated and does not cover all marketing subjects connected to the processes inside the company and the market relations.

The “Marketing” (Advertising and PR) program is new and provides high-quality education for future specialists in all areas of social development of the country: economics, finance, culture, science, art, education, etc. Graduates can work as marketing specialists in public administration or private enterprises. Marketing specialists have an important role in business as they work in various positions like marketing manager of the small, medium-sized and big enterprises in our country. Students that graduate this program can work as experts in all kinds of media and advertising agencies; in public relations departments; in agencies, organizations and institutions for analysis and prognosis, for creating and implementation of strategies for the development of new products or companies; in state and local management organizations; as creative and leading employees in the company management both in private and state enterprises in all areas of economics.

Social order management
The program is new and the Economics college is the only college in Plovdiv and the region which provides this form of education. It is extremely beneficial and the specialists – highly demanded as employees in institutions, departments of the state enterprise, in companies of the private enterprise in all fields of economy and as specialists in private structures for preservation of the public order and security according to the new requirements for our country as a member of the EU.

Accounting
The Accounting Program gives the graduates the qualification “Economist” (accountant), which provides them with the ability to perform the essentially important tasks “accounting” and “control” in financial and non-financial institutions management. The curriculum complies with the current trade and accounting laws, based on the European community principles and international accounting standards.
